ABOUT

Our Mission

Politics Art Roots Culture is a non-profit media project for anyone who’s interested in creating a more just, equitable, and peaceful world. Our aim is for people to share ideas, create projects, and participate in political, cultural, and social efforts that will create a better future for everyone.

Our History

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

We (Vince & Sergio) met in the U.S. Marine Corps back in 2003, following our first deployment to Iraq. In 2004, we deployed for a second tour to Iraq. During this period, we started to examine the true costs of war, both abroad and domestically. In 2006, we joined Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) and eventually testified to U.S. Congress about the numerous war crimes and atrocities being committed in Iraq .

Since then, we’ve worked with progressive/left social movements, cultural projects, and political campaigns around the world, from Ukraine and Europe to Latin America, India, Australia, and beyond. After returning to Northwest Indiana following the Standing Rock indigenous protests of 2016, we recognized how desperately our society needs non-consumerist, politically conscious, socially, and culturally oriented spaces, hence the birth of P.A.R.C.

Since we opened our doors in 2017, we’ve met a multitude of incredible people; we’ve learned the ins and outs of operating a space; and we’ve hosted over 200+ social, cultural, and political events.

However, since the outbreak of Covid19 we shut our doors to comply with the CDC and WHO recommended guidelines because the health and safety of our community is more important to us than keeping our doors open.

Our aim is to connect with and conduct interviews with people throughout the city, region, state, country, and world who are dedicated to building international political movements capable of dealing with 21st Century problems: capitalism, war, and ecological devastation to name a few.

Your support and suggestions are greatly valued. Send us a message. We’re always open for dialogue.

Welcome to P.A.R.C. family and thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Vince & Sergio
